Bobby Mc.Ferrin is een soort klanken-tovenaar. Ik houd van wat hij doet. Niet alleen omdat het uitzonderlijk is wat hij met zijn stem kan; de variatie aan toonhoogten, geluiden en ritmes die hij op unieke wijze voortbrengt. Vooral omdat hij diepgang met lichtvoetigheid combineert in zijn liedjes. Dit liedje, ‘ Say Ladeo’, dompelt mij onder in een gevoel van speelse lichtheid. Ik krijg zin om te zingen en te dansen uit pure vreugde!

De videoclip ondersteunt het liedje met beelden die in mij oproepen hoe het leven eigenlijk, uiteindelijk, voorbij aan mijn moeite en gedoe, een (goddelijk) spel is van licht en klank. Ik weet weer dat die vreugde er altijd is….ergens achter die wolken waarachter mijn licht zich soms schuilhoudt. Alles wat ik nodig heb om dat te ervaren is het me te herinneren….en soms helpt een liedje daar heel goed bij!
